Davie!

Davie is 14 months old! He loves being outside, and crawls around the whole yard (dirt, dead grass, who cares!). He can walk, although he is still pretty wobbly and crawls most of the time. It's so cool to see him learn new things. He loves playing with puzzles, shape sorters, and anything he needs to put together.

Daniel's Hair

So, we love Daniel's hair. It's something that has set him apart from the crowd since he
was about 18 months old. Halloween came, and Daniel wanted to be superman. Sweet, ok.
Well, after about 7 people said, "Oh!! Supergirl! How sweet!", we decided it was over. So,
with a heavy heart, I cut Daniel's hair in November. It's growing out again, without the exact same white-blond curl, but it's still cute.

Time Just Gets Away From Us.....

Life is full with small children. When Cory gets home from work, I try to recall the cute things the boys did that day, excited to relay the wonder of watching our boys grow. I try to get it all out, but I am frequently leaning against the kitchen counter as Cory winds down from his workday searching my brain for another story to tell him; I know it's in there, somewhere. There is so much to take in as they grow, and I know that I won't remember half of it. That makes me kinda sad. On the other hand, the busyness of this season is something that I could sometimes live without. Whatever the challenges, I am so thankful, and I want to do much better at steering myself to gratitude vs grumbling. This is something that needs much work in my life....

Thankfully, Cory gets to watch the boys once a week too, while I work. Work has provided a nice balance for me thus far, and I continue to enjoy my job, but I'm ready for something different. After the new year begins, I will drop to minimal hours at the med center, and pick up a few call shifts a month at the birth center where we had Davie. I am excited for the change.

Cory continues to look for an assistant manager job, and we trust that God will provide the place as we seek him.

The pictures above are a few examples of our late summer/fall activities, which have included a trip to Platte River State Park and climbing the observation tower (hiking afterwards), going to Vala's Pumpkin Patch (not pictured), going to Nebraska City and the orchards, and trips to the zoo and Fontanelle Forest (life size dinosaurs trail side).
